Our annual Christmas cocktail party for alumni and wives, undergraduates, and prospective students was held the evening of December 30 at the Mountain Shadows.

Charlie Henderson '62 was master of ceremonies and in his usual good form welcomed the undergraduates home on vacation, and the prospective students, many of whom were accompanied by their parents and dates.

Dune Newell '36, our representative on the Alumni Council, gave a brief rundown on the Charter Day activities at Hanover, which he attended. Bill Behrens '56, liaison agent, reported on the work of the interviewing committee.

Each of the undergraduates, headed by John Short '71, of football fame was introduced and each gave a brief talk on what Dartmouth means to him and why he thinks it is the best college in the country.

Among the alumni present were Lewis Waterbury '12, Bill Terry '13, Truman Metzel '23, Frank Poor '26, Dick Loughry '34, Dune Newell '36, Skip French '38, Austin Grant '38, James Felter '46, Bill Behrens '56, Dick Vaules '57, Charles Henderson '62, Sherm Bendalin '63, Steve Smith '66.

At the January 6 luncheon attended by most of the "regulars" we were glad to have President Russ Fisher '17 back again after several weeks in the East.
