JUNE 1970 CHARLES H. DUDLEY, HERMON W. FARWELL

This month's news is saddened by the report that Julius Arthur Brown has left us. My son visited him last month and reported that he was up in his chair, alert and had much of a sparkle that made him such a delightful person. Even though his passing was not entirely unexpected it is still a shock to us who knew him so well and held him so dearly. A full obituary will appear in either this or a subsequent issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE.

Soap Davis writes "Your article in the DARTMOUTH ALUMNI MAGAZINE takes me back to that 1888 in Canaan where the drifts were ten feet deep across the flat on the way to town at town meeting time.

"Card parties, moving pictures, pot luck suppers, and slide pictures taken by local people on their world travels give me much to live the life of Riley. The travelogue pictures are a cheap and easy way to see the world in one's old age."

Letters and cards have been received from the following classmates and will provide news for the future issues. Ken Morse, Harry McKinnon, Hermon Farwell, Ducky Drake, Herb Parker, A. H. Dalrymple, Chet Studwell, and H. E. Plumer. Thank you for your loyal support.
