FEBRUARY 1971 DR. DONALD P. COLE JR., PAUL J. CARAVATT JR.

You're reading this in February, but because your secretary desires a self administered pat-on-the-back, let the records show that these notes are being written on a gray New Year's day, sandwiched in between recuperating from the frolics of New Year's Eve and the numerous bowl games.

Gunnard Reynold's good wife, Jeanne, brings us up-to-date on the latest Reynolds happenings. "Gunnard has bought into an insurance agency with three offices in this part of Wisconsin. He is located in Wausau but we live in Schofield, a suburb connected to the south end of Wausau. We have two boys, ages 15 and 10, and they have adjusted well to the new schools and surroundings. For the record the agency's name is Waidelick-Maly and Associates of Wausau."

Two corporation advances ... Don Ash is the newly appointed director, coordination for Gulf Oil-Transportation, homeported in Pittsburgh. Mo Monahan is the new president of Lehigh Services, Inc., warehouse and transportation firm.

Dick and Helen Murray announce the arrival of a grandson, Richard Y. Murray III. And the frequency of the appearance of grandchildren is increasing—our gray hairs are catching up with us.

Three of our legal brethren have made the news. Bill Merrill is a partner in a new Detroit law firm, Hammond, Ziegelman, Tennent, Merrill and Sotiroff. Harry Carter was sworn in as one of six public members to sit on the Department of State's 24th annual selection board which evaluate and promotes foreign service officers. Harry is a partner in the Washington, D. C., law firm of Shanley and Fisher, residing in Chevy Chase, Md., with Ann and the three children. Ray Fontana former Massachusetts Governor's Councillor for the Springfield area, is now the Hampden County Register of Probate.

Here and there ... Doug Armstrong is executive vice-president, Dun and Brad- street Publishing Corp. Stan Rice is art director, Harcourt, Brace and World, Inc., NYC. Jack Mortimer is a geologist with Sunray DX Oil Co., Corpus Christi, Texas. Joe Young- is a practicing attorney in the Baltimore legal firm of Piper and Marbury. Don Kleckner is marketing manager, DuPont, NYC. Cas Wooldredge is assistant director of Harvard's high energy physics research.
