Dann Lewis, assistant director of tourism for the Bahamas for the past three years, has been named director of marketing as an additional responsibility which will involve coordinating the ministry's advertising and sales Promotion program Interpublic Group of Companies. Dann has lived m the Bahamas since 1959 North and, Perated the Current Club in North Eleuthra and was active in an investment company in Nassau prior to joining the ministry three years ago. He Mary and their two children, Jennifer, six, and Timothy, three, live in Nassau. Sounds like a great job, Dann - can you handle freeloaders?

In January. The University of Miami awarded a Ph.D in skin biochemistry to Barry Davis who has specialized in the physiology of hair growth. He expects to continue his research at Washington University in St. Louis to obtain more information on baldness. Barry gained his undergraduate degree at Earlham College, Richmond, Ind., after spending two at Dartmouth, and his master's in biology at the University of Miami.

Cliff Lamberg-Karlovsky headed an expedition to Tepe Yahya, Iran which uncovered a previously unknown civilization that flourished in 3500 B.C., 1,000 years earlier than had been generally thought. This is a major archaeological find for it means that the view of the Mesopotamian area as the cradle civilization needs extensive revision Like many significant discoveries, Cliff made this one quite by accident while taking a shortcut when his jeep was running out of gas.

Professor George Seielstad returned to California Institute of Technology in No vember after spending a year at" Chalmers Institute of Technology in Sweden where he was conducting research under a Guggenheim Fellowship. George lives in Bishop, Calif., with his wife and three children.

Another world traveller is Fred Bacon who is now located in London as director of international operations for Informatics Inc., one of the largest computer consultant companies in the U. S. Fred reports he has been around the world twice and lived in Europe for four months last year.

A quick note from Jim Wilson says that he is director of labor relations and salaried personnel at the Ford Motor Co., Canton (Ohio) plant. He started with the company in 1965 as a statistical analyst and has held various positions in industrial and labor relations enroute to his present job.

„The Air Force has cited Captain Jack Wells unit, the 6555 th Aerospace Test Group for the fifth time with the Outstanding Unit Award for exemplary performance in the nation's space program. Jack is a staff development engineer with the group which operates out of Patrick A.F.B., Fla., and is responsible for developing reliable and versatile space launch and communications systems.

From the world of television comes word that Art Wolff is a producer/director for National Educational Television, a position he has held for nearly four years. Art's credits include "Up Against the Wall," a documentary about earth day, and he has received a grant from National Endowment for the Arts to make a film in a series called "The Artist in America" for distribution in the U. S., and abroad. Art and Virginia live in a 200-year-old house in Philadelphia.

A long letter from Dr. Dave Viscott relates that he married the former Judy Finn (Simmons '60), went to Tufts Medical School, interned. at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis and did his residency training in psychiatry at Boston's University Hospital. Dave has been working in the area of creativity and has published a novel and written several articles for professional journals on the subject. This developed into an interest in sensitivity which led to his inventing a game called "Sensitivity" which he has marketed, and even the formation of his own television production company. Dave and Judy live in Wellesley Hills. Mass., with their three children.

Bill Truex is a partner in Alexander & Truex, architects and industrial designers located in Burlington, Vt. He says thai Pete Collins has a law practice in tow" and they see each other frequently. Bill also reports seeing Barry and Ann Mahoney last summer during vacation, and also Bill Steck in Boston at an architects' convention in June.
