The 1971 annual meeting of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Greater Boston was held on March 23 in the Ballroom of the Sheraton Boston Hotel. The 500 Dartmouth men and their ladies were treated to an all-star performance starting with newly-appointed football coach, Jake Crouthamel's ('60) comments about the Dartmouth football team of 1970 and its many accomplishments, as well as comments about the years ahead. Following Jake, President John Kemeny made a very thought-provoking talk, principally concerned with the possibilities of coeducation at Dartmouth. The last item on the agenda was a performance by the always-excellent Dartmouth Glee Club. Incidentally, we were fortunate enough to have two of the members of the Glee Club spend the night with us. If they are representative of the student body at Dartmouth, we are all extremely fortunate.

Ed McLaughlin '42, the outgoing president, chaired the meeting. The following were elected as officers for 1971—1972: President—lra Herman '42, first vice president—John Haffenreffer '44, second vice president—Charles H. Hood II '51, third vice president-Robert D. Brace'52, secretary—Charles A. Morrison '54, assistant secretary—John W. Williamson'42, treasurer—George K. Briggs '55.

At-large members of the Executive Committee include Robert Danziger '56, Robert Garver '55, Les Godwin '30, Dana Hennigar '55, Arthur McGinness '64, Raymond Neff '64, and Richard Page '54.

Les Godwin '30 received an Alumni Award for outstanding service to the College. Robinson Bosworth '37, chairman of this year's Alumni Fund, in addition to making general remarks about the Fund, presented a special award to John Learoyd '11 for distinguished service over the years to the Alumni Fund. The Class of 1933 did it again and for the second straight year, won the cup for the most classmates at the meeting.
