The Dartmouth Club of New Mexico met March 3 for its Fourth Annual Dinner and meeting, with Greg Prince, Director of Summer Programs, representing the College.

Cocktails at 6:30 at La Hacienda on Albuquerque Old Town Plaza from a mix-your-own bar fitted out by Dr. BillMichener '51 and Dr. Ted Mortimer '45 was the correct prescription to get the party off to a rousing start.

All other wives made the scene, but Roxie Michenor was forced to beg off because of illness. Furb Haigrht '21 made it all the way from Taos, and also present in addition to the above-mentioned bartenders, were retiring prexy Bob Long Jr. 56, Dr. P. G. Cornish '51, Dr. "Rose" Thompson '36, Joe Cardillo '64, Dick Paul 41, Dick Barr '61, Dick Mather '40 with son Chuck and class of '75 prospect Foster Hannett, Dr. Bill Christenson '65, Ken Heusinkveld '52, Dick Redington '64, and Carl Seager '65. A late arrival was former club member Dr. John Diggrs '58, who had just been signed on at Presbyterian Hospital by Dick Barr, without either knowing that the other was a Dartmouth alumnus until after the fact.

At 7.30 dinner was served, a sumptuous Mexican dinner for most of us. Prexy Bob Long then conducted a very brief business meeting, introducing the "Year of the Dicks,. the slate for the year as nominated, and said slate was accepted by acclamation. Dick Redington '64 is our president, Dick Paul 41, vice president, Dick Barr '61 secretary, and Dick Mather '40, treasurer.' Members of the Executive Committee are Bob Long 56, Carl Seager '65, Joe Cardillo '64, Dr. P. G. Cornish '51, and Dr. John Talley 50.

A proposed amendment to the club constitution was also given a first reading by outgoing secretary, Dick Paul, to be voted on at our next meeting.

Greg Prince then spoke of the changes in the College and what they meant; the peculiar assignment he has of abolishing his own job; and a Yale alumnus' view of the Dartmouth campus.

The evening was climaxed by the showing of "Football Highlights 1970," a classic that in the eyes of many present should be nominated for an Oscar.
