Springfield held its annual book awards banquet April 27 at Storrowton Tavern in West Springfield, with about 100 people in attendance. Book awards were presented to thirteen outstanding high school juniors from the area. Our student liaison in Hanover commented on the proposed changes in the college calendar. The principal speech was given by Thomas E.O'Connell, '50, President of the Berkshire Community College.

Officers elected for the coming year were: Bill Mazeine '61, president—Art Little '53, vice president—Nels Jones '55, secretary—Bill Ferris '66, treasurer.
