Pete Patterson was promoted to "full bull" colonel in June, and continues as chief of professional services at the Army hospital at West Point. He writes that he thoroughly enjoys the cadets, which must be the world's best sizeable collection of super-healthy young men. We await further word from Pete on how much medicine he has a chance to practice.
George and Beth High's current address is Carlisle Barracks, Pa., where George is one of eight civilians attending the U. S. Army War College. The ten-month curriculum there prepares officers and civilians for high-level staff and command positions with the Armed Forces and is concerned with national security. A foreign service officer in the State Department, George's most recent post was with the American Embassy in Buenos Aires.

George Haigh has been named president of DeVilbiss Co., a major division of Champion Spark Plug Co. George joined the firm in 1956 as export sales manager. In 1964, he became vice president international, supervising the establishment of DeVilbiss-owned factories in Mexico, Brazil, and Germany. He and Joan live on Brookside Road in Toledo, Ohio, with Connie (13) and Stephen (11).
Fred Whittemore, partner of Morgan Stanley & Co., Wall Street investment banking firm, htas been named a director of the firm's Canadian affiliate, Morgan Stanley Canada Ltd. Fred says that his appointment is due less to his erratic command of French than to his steady recollection of the exploits of Jean Baptiste. Fred and Marion live in Manhattan with sons Laurence and Edward.
Harvey Hubbell, Inc. of Bridgeport, Conn., has made Bill Andre its general counsel whereby he takes over responsibility for domestic and foreign acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, and the sale and licensing of company products. Dreyfus-Marine Midland Bank, New York, has, announced the election of ClydeClaus to executive vice president, an advancement from senior vice president. He also becomes a director of the parent company, Dreyfus-Marine Midland, Inc. Clyde, who lists his home address as R.D. 2, Kingwood Road, Stockton, N. J. 08559, has served that area as a Dartmouth fund raiser and on the local Board of Health and various conservation groups. Doesn't that make him a conservative banker?

A little earlier, full-page ads in the N. Y. Times proclaimed the "Beutiful News" that BillBeutel is back on WABC-TV's twice-nightly, prize-winning news program. Page Thompson has been named president and general manager of Compania de Petroleo, S.A. a subsidiary of Atlantic Richfield. Page will be headquartered in Rio de Janeiro and I believe will be our Class' sole carioca. He joined Atlantic Richfield in January, 1970, after having spent 14 years in various operating and management assignments in the marketing department of Mobil Oil Corp.
Paul Arenberg, president of Barclay Marine Distributors Corporation in Chicago, was named "distributor of the year" at the National Marine Distributors Assn., of which Paul is also president. He and Ann have four children and maintain a "home base" in St. Louis.
