To make amends for last year when April birthdays had to be omitted, warm congratulations are offered now to our Aprilborn classmates: Art Dearing of Santa Clara, Calif.; Steve Fordham of Spencertown, N. Y.; Ken Grant of Camden, Me.; Bill Holway of Tulsa, Okla.; GeorgeRichardson of Littleton, N. H.; AllenRichmond of Norwalk, Conn.; EndersVoorhees of New York City; and RichardWhite of East Lynn, Mass.

Two years ago when this April list was given I exclaimed, "What a sensation it would be if every mother's son listed were to reply from his neck of the woods!" None did, and I wondered if birthdays had not best be overlooked as out of style.

Not so, writes disappointed Phil Smith of West Hartford whose February 9 birthday I wrongly credited to Paul Smith (nee 5/12) of Clearwater, Fla. To err is human and I do beg forgiveness for all past, present or future errors or omissions—delighted, however, to know that someone does care what we write.

Fishing for news, we've tried many lures but here is a new one of real merit. It seems that when Ellsworth Buck edited and published our cherished 1914 Golden Book, he put away an extra lot of 50 copies for possible future use. Now, through the kindness of Constance Buck, these have been made available for whatever use seems best.

With Vogie's blessing I offer you, while they last, the chance to replace the book you may have lost or that you'd like to give to a son or daughter. It's yours for the asking, whether classmate or widow, free with even the postage paid, if with your request and your mailing address, you send me whatever news you can of what you are doing or planning for your life in these our golden years.

I'm sure we should adhere to our rule of not reporting sickness or difficulties about which we have no details or confirmation but we do ask to hear from Rufe Sisson,Cap Lawrence, Win Loveland, Phil Coe,Howard Potter, Charlie Batchelder and any others who over the recent weeks have been on sick call at home or in hospital for any cause whatsoever. All send our love to you.

Words cannot describe the pleasure of my recent meeting with Ray Trott in his beautiful city of Providence, R. I., where he has been so long a civic leader and, for most of his business lifetime, the head of the Rhode Island Hospital Trust Co., one of the nation's most respected banking institutions.

To Sig Larmon and Ruth Little goes the private Give a Rouse of 1914 for a new high in Newsletters as made by their joint efforts in the issue of February 9. If we are indeed a famous class, they are helping make it so.

In other pages of this issue will be found the sad news of the death on February 10 of our classmate Paul Howe to whose wife and family all offer our deepest sympathy.
