Fred Davidson on a recent visit with Leland and Dorothy Spore in Sandusky, Ohio, begged, borrowed, or cajoled the loan of a November 4, 1967 clipping from the Washington 'Post on the 50 th reunion of some 350 American fliers who trained and flew with the Italian forces in Foggia, Italy in 1917. Leland was among the 64 of this famous group of night flying Caproni bomber pilots who attended this reunion sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Washington. All were presented with the Croce de Cavaliere of the Republic of Italy and with the honorary Golden Wings of the Italian Air Force and with a Gold Medal of the City of FoggiaWord
is received that Allen Richmond in July suffered a stroke of some severity. He is at his home at 36 Elmwood Ave. in South Norwalk, Conn, making progress in recovery. Surely he would enjoy hearing from classmates.
