After serving as president of Spiegel, Inc., for the past fourteen years, Modie J. SpiegelJr. vacated that office in February and was elected chairman of the board, with the new title also of chief executive officer. In his new position, Modie will continue the active direction of the company which he has served since leaving college. Under his management, Spiegel, Inc. experienced a phenomenal growth in volume and through his guidance the company expanded into the chain store field after having been exclusively a mail order firm for a great many years. Modie currently is president of the Mail Order Association of America.

Erratum. Careless reporting in an earlier column gave the class of Alan Booth as 1957 when it should have been 1956. Your correspondent just failed to keep up with the rapid march of time. It seems only yesterday—.
Those of us in the Boston area announce with pride the election of Haskell Cohn to the presidency of the Dartmouth Alumni Association of Boston for the ensuing year. LenMorrissey, Gray Bates, Carter Hoyt, Fran Leland. and Dick Willis represented the class at the February dinner and meeting at which Haskell was honored by his election.
A wedding of particular interest to our class took place on February 3 when Marguerite Marquart Steen became the bride of William E. Rex. Maybe my memory is faulty, but I believe this to be the only marriage to date in which both the bride and groom were 1922 children. Marguerite attended Emma Willard School and Colby Junior College. Bill, a product of Governor bummer Academy, is an undergraduate at Dartmouth and captain of the golf team. The couple will reside in Hanover while Bill completes his senior year.
Does anybody know the present address of Philip R. Grant, B. Dawson Berry, Robert E.Coventry or Bruce T. Cunningham? Both the Alumni Recorder and your secretary are anxious to restore these men to a current status in our files. If you have knowledge concerning any of them please pass it along to one of us.
