While the Dartmouth world celebrates a 200th anniversary in June we in Fourteen doff our hats to nine classmates born in this lovely month: Bill Breslin, Harry Cook, Erie Fairfield, George French, Harold Morse, Win Snow, and Rodney Woodman.

And speaking of June milestones, report has it that fifty golden years ago Mat andJean Hallett of Charlotte, N. C., pledged their troth on June 18, 1918 and four days later Paul and Dorothy Howe of Corning, N. Y., said their "I dos" to each other on June 22, 1918.

The big news to all of us in this May issue is that we're only a month away from our 55th reunion. As a mother counts her chicks so Vogie Stiles counts the days to Friday, June 13, when Middle Fayerweather will see the gathering of our clan.

Under the heading travel notes, EllsworthBuck is somewhere on a long cruise that is taking him to Africa and South America.

Pen Aborn who writes that he and Renette will travel north in June, adds that he with Herb Austin and Sherm Saltmarsh represented 1914 at the February dinner of the Boston Alumni Association.

Fred Davidson's daughter Anne and her husband Jim Lester paid us a delightful visit when driving east from their home in Huron, Ohio. They stopped off at Newport for several days of skiing at our nearby Jay Peak ski resort. They had with them not only their own five daughters but also a friend's daughter.

I wonder how many of us have sons or grandsons on active military duty in the Viet Nam war. To our list add George Richardson's grandson, Peter Richardson of the class of 1960, who as a Lieut.(j.g.) Navy pilot is flying from a base in Da Nang in Viet Nam.

Martha and I will have spent Easter in Westfield, Mass., with our son and his family. Drew has just returned from Guam and his third tour of combat flying with his S.A.C. B-52 bomb Wing.
