A letter from Mrs. Creswell, daughter of 'Vic' Salinger, speaks glowingly of her parents' devotion, loyalty and affection for Dartmouth. She describes her mother as "always a loyal supporter of Dartmouth and her dearest friends were alumni and their families both in the East and the West. She was always ready to be hostess to any Dartmouth group from the president of the college to the local highschool boys considering attending the college." She had no sons or grandsons but was already talking of the glories of Dartmouth to her three great-grandsons aged nine, ten and a half, and 12. Hilda had lived with her daughter Mrs. Creswell, for over 30 years in their home in South Pasadena. She passed away after a lengthy illness on January 28, aged 93 years. She and Vic certainly were two of Dartmouth s most enthusiastic supporters.

Ruth Bean, daughter of 'Cap' Jenkins is very active in church affairs. No grass seems to grow under her feet. She has been recently elected to the Board of Trustees of the Walker Missionary Homes. She is looking forward with happy anticipation to the visit this summer of her elder son Richard and his family who live in Los Angeles.

Speaking of myself: I am in excellent health and in spite of my two limitations, hearing and vision, I find the days full of interest. I celebrated my 94th birthday March 17. The years have brought so many helpful experiences and most of all the supporting friendship of so many friends. My duties as class secretary and class agent, forces me to keep my eye on the ball.
