This is being written just as the Yale game ends and the first burst of enthusiasm and relief is apt to sweep me on to unattainable predictions about the remainder of the season. Somehow this exhilaration is difficult to convey a month later and, of course, intervening events of one or more Saturdays may have proven that objectivity was lost in the thrill of what seemed to be a decisive victory. "Beautiful" is today's adjective for the result - hopefully will be saying the same when this goes to print - meanwhile we'll hope that mention of the football team does not produce the same result as an appearance on the cover of "Time" magazine.

At the Harvard game saw Dick and PatsyLeggat to wave to. Sat next to Jim Duffy who enjoys being back in New England. Jim works for G.E. and is living in Marblehead. Jim and Jeanne have a daughter and two sons. Both of us felt our children would get a lot more out of the game by hearing about it from us rather than seeing it in person.
Dick Greene was also at the Harvard game. Dick started a new job last December with Paine Webber, Jackson & Curtis servicing institutional accounts which he describes as "interesting and demanding." Dick and Lynn moved into a new house recently and saw Pat McAllister and daughter Susan and son Bruce over Columbus Day weekend. The same weekend Dick spent two days climbing in the White Mountains. He reported that the out-of-doors is still great, clear air a bit hard on the lungs but ten and a half hours sleep at an A.M.C. hut pulled him through.

Pete Smith of Barrington, R. I., not satisfied with the admission of Peter Jr. to the class of '73, has registered his daughter, Pam, age 4, in the class of '83. The College has not accepted her registration, but has classified her as "entry." We'll be interested in the final outcome!
