The two recent losses of Cyril Smith and Albert Dalrymple have left the Class with only four living members. In descending order of age, these are Farwell, Olivers, Studwell, and Drake. The first is only eight months older than the last. Perhaps some computer addict can find a relation between the number of our nonagenarians and the fact that at graduation our oldest was born in 1867, and our youngest in 1883.

During the class dinner of the 1972 Reunion, Phil Thompson's widow read a "Tribute to a Few" men of 1902. One quote, which refers to our 1967 Reunion, is particularly appropriate at this time.

"Was anyone more radiant with enthusiasm than Cyril Smith, or did anyone have a better time? It must have been the highlight of his days, a fulfillment of a dream."

The last item in the issue of April, 1974 said "1902 has only eight survivors, but they still wish to be counted." No matter what the number, 1902 will still wish to be counted.
