News being scarce since Reunion, a few pickings will be selected. First an excerpt from Henry Emery: "I entered the hospital and came out with my other leg amputated. Now I get from my bed to my wheelchair and back under my own power.- Have a good time."
Next, Thelma Lowe: "My plans are to stay right here in Gifford Park. This summer I am taking a freighter trip to Spain, Portugal, Morocco and Italy" My kindest regards to all."
Third from Lish Winslow, relayed by Mrs. WinsloW. explaining that Lish had improved, but that it still took two nurses to get him out of bed a chair. - "It has meant a great deal to my husband all these years, to be a graduate of '08. This time we send our best wishes."
From Stacey Irish, quoting from a letter by Mrs Irish, he has had light heart trouble, but never an attack. His memory is failing fast. He is still a great Dartmouth booster, as he was when he was a teacher. This had inspired his youngest daughter to write a poem on the subject.- "Best wishes for a happy Reunion."
