Mrs. George Fine reports that her son Richard, with whom she makes her home, has sold their home in Merchantville and bought a new one in the adjoining town of Collingswood which has a pretty setting in Cooper River Park with the skyline of Philadelphia as a backdrop.
Dorothy Fiske reports that she is still living in the cottage in North Falmouth on Cape Cod that Eben and she built and prefers to live alone but is engaged in many community activities.
Rev. Bert Hammond writes that the minister of the North Parish Congregational Church in Sanford, Me., died in July and he is serving as interim minister.
Stacey and Bernice Irish received a visit from their daughter Ruth McHugh, her husband and their 7-year-old son, who took them on a 250-mile trip to Lowden Park in Oregon, Ill., for a picnic. The park has interesting rock formations and an enclosure with deer, antelope, and other fauna.
The winter residents of Anna Maria, Fla., who include Seymour Rutherford, Allan Brown and Bob Kenyon, both of '07, made their usual hegira to that island.
Art and Juliet Soule have returned to Fort Lauderdale for the winter but have a new address at 1122 South East 4th Street, further from the beach and on New River and believe they will enjoy their new location. Both are playing golf about 4 times a week. Art, after many years off the stage, was asked to play the part of a priest in a local production of Shakespeare's "Twelfth Night" and obliged. The troupe played to a standing room only house for two nights. Art was the oldest member of the cast.
Earl Wiley wrote from Holyoke, Mass., in October that they had been on a two weeks' trip, mainly in New England, and on the return planned to visit with two of their daughters in Cleveland and Toledo.
Your editor regrets to report the passing of Charles Severance on August 17 at the Stanford Hospital in Menlo Park, Calif., after a short illness. Details of his life activities will be found in the In Memoriam section of this or a later issue.
