On January 19 the annual dinner for theTucson Club was attended by a total of 67 members and wives. Perhaps it was the promise of an. exhilarating Eleazar Wheelock punch bowl, or the forecast of an excellent dinner. It may have even been interest in hearing about Dartmouth Today from Dartmouth's Vice President, George Colton 35
Each of these was more than ample justification for the turnout, with Veep Colton stating that the "greatest changes in the history of Dartmouth College are taking place today. Coeducation and year-round operations are running successfully despite the enormity of change." Space prohibits reporting names of all who were there, and to mention one person without the other may be a regrettable omission. It would be fair to say, however, that one gained the firm impression Dartmouth's sons make excellent geologists, M.D.'s and super retirees; and we all wish Dartmouth's daughters as well.
Having spent their time-wad the previous Friday, the Dartmouth Club, luncheon on the 26th was a sparsely attended affair with 18% being members of the Phoenix Annex. We were pleased nevertheless in welcoming Bob Lewis '36 and TomFarwell '26 - both of that settlement north of Tucson.
Herewith a reminder for visitors that the Dartmouth Tucson Club meets for luncheon on the fourth Friday of each month at the Old Pueblo Club.
