As spring appears there seems to be very little news - apparently most of the Class has been hibernating. Word comes from Jimmie Cleaves' son Burton that Jimmie has been living in the Meredith Bay Nursing Home in Meredith, N.H., since December 1971 where he is receiving "superior care by a staff of devoted nurses." Jimmie has failed in many ways but often speaks of his friends in 1912.

Our faithful correspondent John Brewster says he greatly appreciates his annual birthday letters from the secretary. He informs us that son Ted sings in one of the best "Downtown Clubs" in New York. Both the Brewsters keenly feel the loss of Boss Geller.

The historically old Rockingham Hotel in Portsmouth, N.H., is closing its doors. As a result Elizabeth Park, our Class Widows Chairman, has gone back to her childhood home in Kingston, N.H., where she will occupy the upstairs ell in the red brick carriage house, complete with living room (her old room), bed room, kitchenette, and bath. All this due to the kindness of a widow friend living in Elizabeth's mother's house. Now we are awaiting the housewarming announcement.

Those who are interested in Dartmouth history will want to read Dr. Carleton B. Chapman's unique little "Dartmouth Medical School: The First 175 Years." The volume is replete with illustrations and easy reading. Dr. Chapman was Dean of the Medical School from October 1, 1966 to 1972 and is now with the Commonwealth Fund. He was responsible to a large degree in setting up the new curriculum with the return to the M.D. degree. The book may be secured from University Press of New England in Hanover.

Mrs. Kendall Foster has a new address at 510 N.W. 70th Avenue, Hollywood, Fla. 33024. RalphTackaberry's widow passed away recently.
