As starters, we are about at the informal reunion weekend which will be the Princeton game. Paul Young has made the usual fine arrangements (cocktails and dinner at Stell Hall for both nights!!) but very few rooms because the College has taken over the Hanover Inn Motor Lodge for college housing. We'll report on the weekend in next month's column.
Charlie Donavan cannot make the informal reunion because of a commitment to the American Truckers Association meeting in San Francisco. We presume Charlie will see ChubFeeney if the Giants are in town.
Word has been received that Dr. Hugh Lena of New London was the college's academic delegate at the inauguration of the new president of Connecticut College early in September.

Turning now to admissions of error, we reported last semester that Bob Williams of track fame had passed away, and (in the April '74 issue of the Alumni Magazine) that Bob's old record for the 100-yard dash of 2:12.4 had been broken. First off, Fritz Hier, class secretary for '44, had sent me the info on the record which was for the 1,000-yard run. Joan Hier allowed as how the printer dropped a zero to make it 100 yards. In turn, Connie Young, executive vice president and assistant to the president of United of Omaha, wrote that BobWilliams (Robert E.) not only is still able to sit and and take nourishment but, and I quote, "He's slowed down quite a bit, but I think he could still run the 100 yards in somewhat under 2:12.4 - with a strong tail wind, that is." In addition, a May '74 press release from Mutual of Omaha announced that Bob was elected assistant vice president, sales training. We have yet to hear from Bob himself, but are willing to admit that we may have made a mistake in an- nouncing his demise. We shall check to see if our information involved Robert A. Williams, whose last address was Barrington, R.I. (Alumni Records show that Robert A. Williams died December 29, 1973. Ed.)
We close with the sad news - sent by ChuckArnstein - that Red Friesel of sth Down fame passed away on June 23 at the age of 80. Chuck, who lives in Dallas, sent in an article from the Dallas Times Herald which we, in turn, shall send to Herb Marx for Clanging Bells use.
Keep the news flowing to Washington via cards, letters, and even telephone. We'll see you in Hanover on October 11-12!
