The Hanover Improvement Society has elected Lewis J. Bressett (honorary member of 1927) as president. The Society built the new movie theater, developed the Storrs Pond area and the Nugget Arcade Complex.

The secretary's reward was received in the form of a four-page letter from W. F. "Natch"Corregan when he returned his second request questionnaire. He made the secretary's work worthwhile. He advises us all to ease up and enjoy the Florida sunshine.

More questionnaires returned. Thanks to Francis Bruguiere, Merle Brush, John Delmarle, Edwin Knapp, Rollins Furbush, and Stew Schackne.

Curt Wright used a cassette to tell us how his great-grandfather Nathaniel played a part in the life of Dartmouth. (See the January Speakeasy.)

Dr. Dow Mills of Mayo Clinic, who looked so trim at June Reunion, spent the rest of the summer in Hanover at the home of Dr. Frank Foster '29 (member of reunion panel with GusCummings). His daughter Kathy was married July 14 at the D.O.C. House and will live in Brattleboro. Dow now has a good excuse to come east often.

George Provost is still treasurer and executive director of the Allegheny Club in the Stadium at Pittsburgh which he says is great fun. By now he is probably at Delray Beach, Fla., with SykesHardy and other vacationers.

William (Bob) Tobey ran into Bus Turpin when he was on a trip through Arizona. Bob is still active in business and likes it.

Gus Buschmann says that his son John '70 whom many of us met at fall reunions was married October 6 in Fountain Springs, Calif.

Hawley Patten is retired and enjoying it, but is busier than ever with community activities. He reports that he spent some time with HankVietor at their 50th high school reunion last summer. Hank is also retired and living on Cape Cod at Yarmouthport.

Johnny Upham of Wellesley, Mass., says he is being comfortably lazy doing a little writing, a little reading, a little visiting, and some golf, bridge and swimming. But no more research. A loyal Dartmouth grad, (his son John Jr. was class of '53) he says:

Let's return to "Wah Hoo Wah" (Dirty word or no). Compared to what we have today It's pure as driven snow!

Ted Swanson hasn't lost his zest for living and intellectual challenge. Although retired from S.O. of N.J., (Exxon) where he was engaged in public relations, Ted still does free lance writing, editing and counseling. He is a member of the Canaan Environmental Commission and a trustee of the Berkshire Litchfield Environmental Council. He thinks today's young graduates have great and exciting things to do.

The medical profession seems to keep our classmates busy, for Dr. Carl Weiss is still a general surgeon in Hastings, Minn. He and his wife (U of Minn.) do find time to attend Minnesota games, but she gets embarrassed when the Dartmouth scores-are announced and Carl jumps up and yells, one in 50,000 people. (Dartmouth wives should understand this affliction).

The Sarasota, Fla., contingent includes BillHollands who retired two years ago as president of Hollands Lumber Co. in Hornell, N.Y. Now he keeps busy shelling, playing bridge - and sleeping. Probably wondering how his son Dick '50 is looking after their four grandchildren.
