In these times of belt-tightening, fuel conservation, and under-tipping this column will strive for quality, not quantity. Three important items.

Larry Simms has been appointed law clerk to the Honorable Byron White, Justice of the United States Supreme Court, effective August 1, 1974. Larry spent four years in the Navy following graduation, then enrolled at Boston University, where he achieved distinction in a range of academic courses and was editor of the Law Review.

He is currently clerk to James L. Oakes of Brattleboro, Vt., Justice of the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Larry's wife Beth is a resident doctor in internal medicine at Boston City Hospital.

It was like a Zeta Psi reunion on December 22 in Belmont, Mass., for Dave Hightower's marriage to Heather Smith of Toronto. JimYarmon was best man, Dick Meyer and EricKing ushered, and Rich Daly and Steve Nash looked on. With the Navy and Columbia Business School behind him, Dave is with First National City Bank in New York.

There's still time to buy a first birthday gift for Heather Barber, the hearty daughter of Pete and Kim, residing with her folks at 1165 Richardson Avenue, Los Altos, Calif. Pete is enjoying his job with Social Security and Kim is busy getting Heather in shape for the Dartmouth Freshman Soccer Team, Class of '94.
