It is gratifying to learn that someone reads this column. Eric Bergstrom does and was kind enough graciously to advise me that I married him to his mother-in-law! In a recent column I mentioned his wife Nana. Well Nana turns out to be his mother-in-law, while his wife's name is Suzanne. Since Eric became director of tourism for the Cayman Islands in 1973 Suzanne has been owner and operator of the Tortuga Club. He says that "things go well for us in the Cayman Islands, and after 13 years we continue to find this a delightful place to live." His biggest problem is that inflation has boosted the price of a bottle of Heinekens to 95! He sent me some fascinating information about the islands. If you're interested you can get information from the Cayman Islands, Department of Tourism, 270 Madison Ave., NY 10016.

Don Mix has been elected an assistant vp of the Connecticut Bank and Trust Co., Hartford. He is a senior portfolio manager in the personal trust department, having earned his financial analyst's spurs as a bond analyst and trader during the last seven years at the bank. Chet Gale recently relocated to Atlanta to join the Creomulsion Co. as executive vp. The firm is privately held and manufactures and sells non-Prescription cough and cold medicines. "Three hockey rinks in the area were the key factor, How else can the kids stay up with the Hennigar boys? Others claim the dove and quail hunting and ten months of outdoor tennis were critical." Executive vp jobs don't offer themselves every day either, Chet. Congratulations and best wishes! Debby and Chet are living at 171 Twin Branch Court, Atlanta 30328. They would love to see any visiting firemen.

Dick Roberts has been elected to the position of professor of medicine at Cornell University Medical College in New York. That is a signal honor in the medical profession. I'm sure every one of our many "sawbones" will be very proud of Dick as will all of the Class.

In Washington Ace Hall's great contributions to the railroad industry have won him the permanent position as Federal railway administrator. He had been acting administrator since last November. His predecessor, John Ingram, left the government to become president of the Rock Island Railroad. The FRA is responsible for maintenance of safety standards on all the nation's railroads. Additionally it administers the substantial program of federal loans to financially troubled railroads, handles the federal government's railroad research effort and actually operates the Alaska Railroad. One of Ace's duties is heading that railroad. Ace, his wife Dort, and their four children live in Potomac, Md.

This was the worst summer I've had in terms of good info about what you're doing. To try and rectify this I'm challenging ten of you to drop me a line telling me what you're doing, etc. How about Paul Andreini, Bob Bagdarasion,Buz Bissell, Dick Fairley, Jim Hall, Jed Isaacs,John LeFever, Hank Maretz, Mike Plumer, and Aaron Simon, for openers?
