Looking again into the Crystal Ball we were able to discover that the following men, whose birthdays fall in November, were born under the sign of Scorpio, the Scorpion: Campion, Foss,Piatt, Brown, and Austin, while Saltmarsh and Webber, were born under the sign of Sagittarius, the Archer.

They are all entitled to the benefits which accrue to the fortunate circumstance of their natal days and to the congratulations of all of the members of our Class.

Abe Newmark, our hard working class agent, writes to us from his home in Beverly-on-the-Bay, (Massachusetts Bay, that is) and encloses Jess Hawley's autobiography which was published in the October issue of the 1914 News Letter. Abe goes on to say, "Jess's Stamford connections were very interesting to me because my daughter Pat and family have lived there since the 1950s.

"This has been an exceptionally hot summer up here in New England but my berry patches and vegetable garden have been great all season. For a change of scenery and for relaxation, my next project is a fishing trip down Maine the last several days in September. It gets a bit chilly up there in the early fall, but the cool water brings the salmon to the top and fishing is usually good.

"Well, 1914 topped all of the veteran classes in contributions to the Alumni Fund. However, for one reason or another our participation was not so good, so we have to look forward to another year and try to mend our fences.

"I trust you are making plans for our 65th."

Our class chairman, Rufe Sisson, writes to us from his home in Potsdam, N.Y., as follows:

"Your birthday greeting was most kind and thoughtful but I hope to be able to overlook all birthdays from here on in; they come and go just too quickly and one has hardly time to catch his breath in between them.

"I followed through on the loss of two of our classmates, Willard Kinne and Walt Lyons but was unable to locate the address of the Kinne family. Can you help me out? There is a book for each of them in the library now.

"We are just now getting our home here open again after spending the summer in Northport, Mich., but we hope to be in Florida by December 15. Perhaps we can get together again there for another mini-reunion.

As we go to press we have just learned of the passing of James Parker Margeson on August 8. A complete obituary will appear in this or a later Alumni Magazine.

The sympathy of the members of our Class is extended to his survivors.
