Club Officers of the Year

Robert S. Morris '36 and Harry Bruckner Jr. '60 were named Dartmouth Club President and Secretary of the Year, respectively, at the Club Officers Banquet last month in Hanover.

"For over three decades you and your wife Weecie have extended a warm welcome to Dartmouth Alumni whether new or native to the Southern California area," read Bob's citation, pointing out that he has served three times as president. "During a twelve-month period you presided over no less than 23 club events and ten meetings of your board of directors ... Your monthly luncheons . . . average of 30 people ... It . should be added that . . . your club has added $1,500 to the club scholarship ..."

Harry was cited for his "... Important role in helping to revitalize the club and today you and the members of the South Shore (Mass.) executive committee can look with pride on a club which is one of the most active in the country." Also serving as third vice president of the Eastern Massachusetts Alumni Association, Harry was told by Mike McGean '49, College Secretary, and Dave Orr '57, Secretary of the Club Officer's Association "We appreciate the many hours which you devote to Dartmouth work."
