Your secretary had a letter from Mrs. Raymond Reynolds, daughter of our Russ Meredith, some quotes from which will be of interest to classmates:
“... Perhaps you've heard that our Ann and your granddaughter had a nice chat at the Mount Holyoke gathering (which was organized by your granddaughter) in Schenectady over the vacation. And did you hear that Ann will be attending Dartmouth for the winter and spring term next year? She was accepted on the exchange program. She is very excited about being in Hanover next winter. As a Biology major she is particularly interested in the Oceanography and Marine Biology courses which they have up there. I think it will be quite an experience for her and we're delighted to have a Dartmouth student in the family. . . .”
"Tenners began arriving Friday morning. A total of 24 of our 88 living Tenners registered by Saturday. The total party reached 39 . . . Saturday night the class dinner was held in the Colonial Room in Thayer Hall. Thayer Smith gave the invocation. There was no formal program but Bones Jones and Ted Hill filled in a little time with story telling ..."
So wrote Secretary Russ Meredith in July, 1970, reporting on 1910's 60th Reunion. Although our ranks have thinned to 47 in the ensuing five years, the Class Officers are determined that 1910 should again make a fine showing in attendance percentage, and request that those who have not yet replied "coming" to reconsider and let us know that you will join us in Hanover June 6-8.
