The Tokyo American Club was the setting for an April 18 dinner party attended by 40, equally divided between 20 Japanese and 20 Americans. Dartmouth Professor Joseph Massey, on a sabbatical at Tokyo University, was the principle speaker, bringing us up to date on Hanover happenings and exploring ways in which the Japan and Dartmouth interfacing could be strengthened. Club President Chick Igaya '57 presided, while the Club voted Bill Breer '57 into the new post of vice president and the writer as secretary. Masuo Iwanami '27, retired president, and Professor B. E. Martin '33 were among the honored guests who viewed a Dartmouth Bicentennial film and considered possible uses of the enormous club treasury as reported by Kyojiro Hata '64.
