Jim Mayer of San Rafael, Calif., has nominated himself as the " '57 Jock of the Week.' " I suspect that "Jock of the Year" might be more appropriate. Anyway, Jim writes:

"At the 1975 Western AAU Masters Track and Field Championships, I won the discus and javelin, placed second in the shot put and third in the 400-meter hurdles. At times I labor under the illusion that I'm in better shape now than I was 20 years ago!"

That's a tough act to follow. However, we certainly welcome any other nominations from 57's. Any nominations?

During his nationwide swing in preparation for the Class Reunion Alumni Fund Drive, Dave Cook ran into Bob King. A year ago, Bob started R. Elliott King & Assoc., Inc., an investment advisory business, in Menlo Park, Calif. Bob had been in the brokerage business and says he has made a successful transition into his new thing.

A note from Cary Sokolec reads as follows: "On December 7th, my wife, Marlene, and I attended the installation of classmate RobertSchreibman as Rabbi of Temple Jeremiah in Northfield, Illinois, a suburb north of Chicago. The ceremony was most impressive, with local clergy and members of Bob's previous congregations attending. Bob's remarks to the temple's members and guests included a call for renewing one's commitments - a theme relevant to Dartmouth Alumni and Americans this Bi-Centennial year.

"The members of the congregation we spoke with after the installation ceremony were all enthused about having Bob as Rabbi of their temple and Marcia and their children part of the community.

"As far as the Sokolec family is concerned, our son Jeremy was born last February. In addition, our two daughters are nine and seven."

Bill King is now president of C.G. Sargents Sons Corp., in Graniteville, Mass. The company manufactures indistrial conveyor dryers and related equipment. The King family has a vacation retreat in Bridgton, Maine, where they sail and play tennis in the warm months, and ski in the winter.

Larry Selig, in his second year as senior pastor of the First Presbyterian Church in Willmar, Minn., was recently selected for the Bicentennial edition of "Community Leaders and Noteworthy Americans." Larry and his wife will host an eight-day educational convention tour to Israel in February.

Kinda skimpy this month, eh? Well, we need your news. You know where to send it. In the meantime, have you set aside June 18-20, 1976? The place: Hanover. The occasion: our 20th! Be There!
