A 1915 grandson has been accepted for the class of 1980 at Dartmouth. Alan Kent Putney, grandson of our classmate Willis Putney, and son of Robert K. Putney '50 will enter Dartmouth this fall. The fact that he had an early acceptance indicates that he had outstanding qualifications.

Word has been received from her daughter Thelma Hasselman that Florence G. Blaisdell, widow of our classmate Herbert C. Blaisdell, died on November 3, 1975 in Venice, Fla. The sympathy of the Class has been extended to the daughter.

By the time this column is published Dale Barker will have spent some time with Al Bull in Lake Worth, Fla. Also vacationing in Lake Worth was Rose Sanborn, widow of Sammy Sanborn. We trust that the three got together to get acquainted while there. Rose was to join the Fredericks on a ten-day Caribbean cruise on the Statendam the latter part of March.

Letter No. 3,041 from George Martin was enjoyed in late January. To give you some idea of the wide scope of his correspondence he lists the following he has heard from in recent weeks: Til Murdock, Gib Campbell, Caleb Rogers, Leroy Porter, Harriet Davis, and Christmas cards from Dot Haubner, Ruth Winship Crance, Helen Rose, Adalene Wyman, Hal Davison, Dick Merrill, Jack Johnson, and Ralph Brown. It is easy to see how George's correspondence is such an important factor in keeping the class solidarity at such a high level. We are greatly indebted to him for his dedicated effort.
