After leafing through the February issue, I discovered that a typographical error converted Susan Berndt's "73 finance into Daniel P. Maloney from Daniel P. Mahoney. I was sorry to have, been unable to correct this mistake; please correct your copies. In recent Dartmouth history of interest is the news of the ski team victory in the NCAA competition, a tie with the University of Colorado.

On the campus over Winter Carnival was Ty Nutt, who has gone on vacation from his show, "Chico and the Man," for which he is Jack Albertson's right hand man. We foresee a great arts future for Ty. John (Beef) Budai was seen at Psi U in escape from the Cornell University Department of Physics, where he studies for his degree. He visited here with friends and with his younger brother, from UVM. Having zoomed in at the very last minute was (Big) Al Zielger, now in branch-management training for the First National Bank of Philadelphia; Al also directs a barbershop quartet, loving every minute.

In Hanover deciding whether music is more important than medicine is Eric Van Leuven, who rehearses his ability on the piano with Speedy MacDonell '76, a well-known guitarist and leader of the Dartmouth Aires. They hope to be seen soon at the nearby Holiday Inn for evening entertainment. Keith (Bo) and AnnShenberger keep busy at their respective medical school studies and Admissions Office toils, but still are mobil enough to see some Hopkins Center events. At a recent Kiss Me Kate Players production, Bo explained that his education will now switch to hospital experience rather than books alone.

On the streets of Cambridge was ThurlowTibbs who graduates in June from the Department of City and Regional Planning of the Harvard School of Urban Design. Thurlow already has a position with a lofty Washington, D. C., firm. He notes that Gary Gipson is now at Harvard working toward his doctorate in history. Across the river was Jeff Jones, seen at prestigious Cooley's, one of Boston's most famous sellers of china and glassware. He and Rita are very much looking forward to their approaching wedding. Don Frederickson just moved to Framingham, Mass. Shopping at Brooks Bros, were Jeff and Anita Scott and Rick (Chet) Bettes. Jeff now is the assistant director of the Brighton-Allston Neighborhood Health Center while Anita teaches Spanish to junior and senior high school students. Living in Beverly, the couple hopes to see Jeff admitted to the Harvard Business School for fall '77. Chet was on a visit to interview with some of Boston's top 500; among them was Arthur Andersen and Co., one of America's most respected accounting firms. Upon seeing him later, he revealed that they were suitably impressed and were able to provide him with an offer (whether he refuses depends on the other companies).

A news release from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration relays that Charles H. Ziese, a member of the Tuck School Class of 1976, has been named a recipient of the Thomas Gordon 1926 and Grace Clake Murdough Scholarships for 1975-76, as announced by Dean John W. Hennessey Jr. During his first year at Tuck, Chuck served as the president of the first-year class.

According to John Lukeman, now at the University of Virginia Law School and up for Winter Carnival, Bob (Purple) Hayes and JohnFisher are at Aetna Life Insurance Co. of Hartford, Conn., in management training programs. According to Assistant Dean Jack Thomas, KenCanfield plans to work for the firm Covington and Burley, Jerry (Kazak) Knezak is still happy riding surfboards and drinking coconut milk at the University of Hawaii, Rosalyn (Pineapple)Loomis should now be back from her month-long vacation in Honolulu from Dean Witter brokerage firm of San Francisco where she works in personnel, and Don Casey keeps his scalpel sharp at the University of Cincinnati Medical School. Don hopes to fly a heliumdriven lighter-than-air balloon to Communist China over spring vacation this year for meetings with Acting Prime Minister Hua Kuofeng. He plans to see how far along the wall he can walk in three and one-half days.

More news from Jack reveals that ChrisNicholson plans to work for a Denver law firm for the summer, while Bruce (Willy) Williamson, Rick Waddell '75, and Joe Durham '75 visit the nearby Playboy Club in Chicago for some "good, clean fun." Doug Peabody will be in Philadelphia this summer if all goes according to plans. In Hanover is Buck Becker, employed by Professor Rassias of the French Department. At the Dartmouth Medical Scholl but still enjoying the weekends are Matt Putnam, WayneWhitmore, Mike Pancoe, and Bob Lange.

From the USAF Flome Town News Center comes word that Second Lieutentant Thomas

W. Short, graduating with honors from the U.S. Air Force Navigator Training School at Mather AFB, California, has been awarded silver wings. Tom received the Husick Memorial and Air Training Command Trophies and is now assigned to

George AFB, Calif., for duty with a unit of the Tactical Air Command. According to the news release, he is married to Caryn Porch.

This spring holds a great deal of work for Head Agent Chris Gates, as another Alumni Fund drive gets under way. For those of you who should decide to accept his requests for support of the College, please be aware of the financial difficulties being inflicted on private institutions across the country and that our support keeps the tradition alive.

It appears that some of us reserve the right to remain isolated and unrevealed. For everyone else we encourage the submittal of any news you have received, all the news that fits we print.

Robert Fieldsteel '43 believes he may havediscovered in Ireland the origin of one of1972's most prominent members.
