Much news to put forth, so right to it! Art Cramer, who has been with Ramada Inns since 1974, most recently director of advertising and promotion, has been named division vice president of worldwide advertising and promotion. Art is located at Ramada Inns' Phoenix headquarters. Dr. Russell Chapman was selected to receive a $1000 outstanding undergraduate teacher award provided by the Amoco Foundation Inc. Russ is in the Botany Department at Louisiana State University. In sunny Southern California, Ron Hinckley was appointed vice president of administration at Decision Making International, a political and marketing research firm in Santa Ana. Ron has held various positions since joining DMI in 1972 and is also in pursuit of a Ph.D. at U.S.C. He, wife Cathy, and their two children reside in Orange.

Here in Chicago, Jon Reich has been ap- pointed public information coordinator, a new post in the undergraduate college of the University of Chicago. As such, his primary duty will be to bring the activities and achievements of more than 2,500 undergraduates to the attention of the media. Undergraduates constitute about one third of the student body, with another third in the six professional schools and the final third in the graduate divisions. JohnMaxfield, M.D., and Melanie Anne Dixon were married in August and will be living in Portland, Ore., where John is on the staff of University Hospital. Melanie is a graduate of the University of Vermont and has done research work with the Department of Cardiology at Dartmouth. Tim O'Connor, M.D., is now chief of oncology at Newton-Wellesley Hospital in Newton, Mass. Tim is a 1972 graduate of Tufts University School of Medicine, did his internship and residency in medicine and a fellowship in hematology at St. Vincent's Hospital in Worcester, followed by a two-year fellowship in oncology at New England Medical Center.

Attorney Steve "Monk" Williams has joined the law firm of Snierson, Chandler and McKean in Laconia, N.H. Monk was previously product manager for Trak Inc., international importer and distributor of crosscountry ski equipment, and is a former associate in corporate finance with First Boston Corporation in New York City. By way of review, Monk is also a former assistant dean of the College and was a member of the U.S. Ski Team from 1969-1972. He was four times Eastern champion and once U.S. champion in cross-country skiing. From 1972-1975 he was special cross-country coach and Nordic Program coordinator for the U.S. Ski Team, and also served as the U.S. Olympic women's cross-country ski coach. Monk is active in bicycling and mountain climbing. He was a New England bicycling champion and holds the AMC mountain-climbing record for Mt. Lafayette, via the Bridle Path trail. Whew!
