Among this month's news is word of Steve Muller's marriage on July 22 to Mary Benson in Dearborn, Mich. Mary is librarian with the United States International Communication Agency. They met two years ago in Quito, Ecuador, and are now both stationed in Brasilia, where Steve recently moved from the United States Embassy's economic section to its consular section.
John "Zorba" Louvitakis wed a lovely Vermont maid, Susan Bradley, on July 29 and is thoroughly enjoying the householder way of life. John completed his master's degree at Maharishi European Research University in Switzerland.
Mike De Petrillo has been married for more than two years now and is completing his final year of training in anesthesiology. He is chief resident this year at Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center in New York City. Mike reports that Pete Federici visited for a weekend this past summer and is doing well in a urology residency in Michigan. They telephoned RogerFaix who is happily married and enjoying his new fellowship in neonatal intensive care in North Carolina.
Glenn Glesmann has begun a general internal medicine practice in Newton Lower Falls, Mass., having completed his training in internal medicine at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.
David Green is about to begin private practice in acupuncture and holistic health in the Boston area. He graduated last year from New England School of Acupuncture in Watertown, Mass., and is living in Newton, Mass. with wife Gean and their two-year-old son Jesse.
Kelly and Tom Weigle are expecting their third child in December. Tom writes that they , will be moving to Farmington, Maine, next year where he "will earn a living catching babies."
Scott Mitchell and wife Nell are. living in Chicago where Scott works for IBM in regional marketing. Baby Thomas Drew arrived practically en route to their new home on July 25 and at last writing they were expecting Carlos, a two-year-old from Colombia, to join their family last month.
Joe Jarrett has transferred to the University of Pittsburgh to continue in orthopedics practice. In the "Better-Late-Than-Never Department," wife Nancy writes that Kelly Jo, child number three, joined brothers Flynn (three and a half) and Luke (two) on December 27 of last year and adds that "it looks like the fuzz on her head may be red." Last June, Peteand Becky Ruegger, Dan and WendyRadakovich, John and Susan Ryzewic, GeneElrod and friend Kathleen, and Joe and Nancy got together for a weekend reunion topped off by a raft trip down the New River in West Virginia. Dave and Becky Meeker had to cancel out because of the approaching arrival of their third child. All concerned had a fantastic time and are hoping to make this mini-reunion an annual event.
Alan Gordon was named to the guidance department at Salem High School in Salem, Mass., having received his master's degree from Columbia University. Dave Reingold received a one-year appointment teaching chemistry at Haverford College in Haverford, Pa. Wife Kay is training to become a teacher of gourmet cooking. To Dave's delight, this requires a great deal of experimentation. He reports that Simon and Sandi Potter are the parents of a baby boy, Brian James, born last June.
After five years on Manhattan's West Side, Rich Crandall left the city for Greenwich, Conn., except for five days commuting each week on the New Haven line for his job at International Paper Company (starched shirt, Wall Street Journal, and all).
Carl Layton has joined Botsford Ketchum Inc., a San Francisco advertising agency, as an account executive. Carl was formerly with Leo Burnett U.S.A., Chicago, as an assistant account executive, and with Brown & Williamson Tobacco Co. in Louisville, Ky., as an assistant brand manager, following the completion of his master's degree from Harvard Business School.
