T'was October 14, a somewhat dismal, dreary, rainy day in Hanover, yet nary a complaint was registered as '57s conducted a minireunion and the Dartmouth football squad produced a convincing win over heavily favored Yale. A pregame luncheon was hosted by Phyllis and Warner Traynham at their home in Hanover. Warner is dean of the Tucker Foundation and college chaplain. The Traynhams have lived in Hanover for five years. The postgame festivities were hosted by Jane andJoe Stevenson at their gracious home in Norwich. Joe, as you probably know, heads the Dartmouth Alumni Fund which turned in a record performance this past year, the first under Joe's direction.
Among those '57s in attendance at this minireunion were Peter and Linda Dieman and daughter Lisa, Bill Breer and son Charles, Tom and Shirley Schwarz and Dartmouth sophomore son Doug, Bob and Elsie Burton, Art Pierce, Mai and Betsy Robinson, Dave and Ellie Cook, Harvey and Arlene Epstein, Class President George Southwick, the George Johnstons, the Bob Mac Donalds, the Chuck Winslows, the Burt Fosters, the Larry Silbermans, and Ted Spetnagel. Be sure to join us if you possibly can at the next gathering of the Class.
You may wish to make a notation on your calendars now for October 26-27, 1979. President George Southwick has reserved 15 rooms at the Holiday Inn for Dartmouth Night weekend and 1957's fall mini-reunion.
