On February 14 Karen and I drove to Naples, Fla., and spent the afternoon visiting with Bones and Rena Jones at their apartment. Rena fell and hurt her foot and could not go to the annual banquet of the Dartmouth Club of Southwest Florida. Bones and I represented the Class of 1910, the oldest class present, and were given a salute. President Kemeny was the principal speaker, and his talk was very well received with much applause.
Karen received a nice long newsy letter from Everett Robinson's widow Helen, from her winter address in St. Petersburg, Fla. She chose St. Pete because she is a rabid baseball fan, and two teams winter there. She goes to a game every afternoon. In the off season she visits her brother '25 at Vero Beach, Fla.

We received a note from Mike Elliott's widow Tilly saying the Florida weather is too rainy and cold for her this winter, and she is staying by her warm fireside in Minnesota. She reported that her bird list from Africa was not as long as she would like because the guide specialized in animals. She says she does know a giraffe without introduction when she meets one.
