This is the month when all of us - graduates, undergraduates, widows, relatives, and friends - should pause and reflect on just how much Dartmouth means to us. The Alumni Fund this year is making an all-out effort to come to the rescue of the College's endowment fund, which has been greatly diminished by our country's inflation. Looking into the future makes the need for this move clear. Our widows' contributions to the Memorial Fund deserve our heartfelt thanks. Let us all not fail at this time of need.
Lucy Bugbee's card at Christmas is worthy of special notice. It was a message from that sterling soul in South Africa, Alan Paton, on an "Instrument of Thy Peace." We quote one paragraph: "It is in giving that we receive, and blessed is he who gives without thought of receiving. We must give of ourselves.
Leona Richmond, back home again, recounts her recent experiences and closes with this joyful note: "Let's sing a Spring Song."
