After hobnobbing with the Oracle we have learned that the following men, whose birthdays are celebrated in the month of May, were born under the sign of Taurus, the Bull: Kingsford, Files, Paul Smith, Mackinnon, and Sleeper. As springtime bursts across the land they are entitled to renew their vitality and to receive the congratulations of all of the members of our class.

During the past year books have been donated to the library in memory of our classmates who have passed on as follows:

Allen P. Richmond: Prince Edward Island by W. Barrett

Albert C. Herring: The Blue Ridge by W. A. Bake

Paul H. Brown: Great Ascents by E. Newbry

Rufus L. Sisson Jr.: The Challenge by R. Messner

Henry B. Flinn: Names on Trees by R. W. Lee

James Mullins: Calder, An Autobiography by A. Calder

Forrest C. Blood: Skellig, Island Outpost by D. Lavelle

Howard S. Curtis: Country Life In Classical Times .by K. D. White

We have received notice of the passing of two of our classmates during the past month. JamesBenjamin Hawley died on March 7 in a nursing home in New Jersey, and John A. Warren died at his home in Wrentham, Mass., on February 9. Obituaries will appear in this or a subsequent issue of the ALUMNI MAGAZINE. The sympathy of all of the members of our class is extended to the survivors.

Hank Llewellyn wrote to us on January 17 from his home in Groton, Conn.:

"It must be quite a chore getting out that newsletter for 1914 and writing all those birthday letters. Anyway, thanks for your letter.

"I see Sig Larmon in New York once in a while. He's a great Dartmouth man and friend.

"When I was instructing Air Force cadets to fly in World War II, I had a few amusing experiences on their first flights. I was taxiing around, waiting our turn to take off, when a cadet said, 'Sir, is this all the higher we're going to fly today?' Another cadet, 'You'll have to do most of the flying today. You see, I've never flown before.' I told him, 'I was figuring on doing that any way.' Another one vomited in his seat in the rear. I asked him, 'Did you get sick?' 'No, sir.' 'Didn't you throw up?' 'Yes, sir.' 'Do you go around throwing up when you aren't sick?' 'Yes, sir.'

"It's pretty cold here. Hope you are the same."
