Since our last issue a few weddings have been reported, so I'll start with those. Jim Leiter was married in July to Suzanne McLellan of Sherborn, Mass. Jim graduated from Dartmouth Med School last spring and at last report was planning to intern in Rochester, N.Y. Stu Cable and Stefanie Cantor were married in September in Philadelphia. Stefanie graduated from Mount Holyoke and Columbia University School of Law. Her uneducated husband received degrees from Tuck School and Columbia Law following graduation from Dartmouth. Kevin O'Brien recently married Heidi Hammond of New Canaan, Conn. Heidi, who graduated from Colby Junior College, also attended the University of Salamanca in Spain, studied art in Florence, and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Kevin is currently employed as an investment commodities broker with Dean Witter Reynolds Inc. in La Jolla, Calif.
A short time ago, I received a clipping from the Lewiston, Maine, Evening Journal which said: "Dr. Michael Boulanger of Lewiston has received notification that a medical paper he co-authored has been accepted for publication in the Archives of Surgery. The manuscript is entitled 'Chronic Granulomatous Disease in an Adult with Recurrent Abscesses.' It deals with 'a specific enzyme defect of the body's immune system.' " Mike was awarded his medical degree from Tufts University last spring and is presently a first-year resident in internal medicine at Albany, N.Y., Medical Center.
Marine First Lieutenant Jim Marion recently completed the military justice course. During the eight-week curriculum at the Naval Justice School in Newport, R.I., newly-commissioned Navy, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard lawyers study the application of their prior law school training and legal knowledge to the military community.
Bill Cahill, elected last year to the New Hampshire legislature, has been busy in the private sector as well as in the public sector. He is employed in sales for his family's paperboard manufacturing business. He has been involved in the opening of a new plant in Pineville, N.C., a suburb of Charlotte. All was not work, though, because Bill spent a fair amount of time on the golf course adjacent to the plant.
