This is the time of year when, having survived winter's vagaries, we can rest assured that there will be compensation for living in a seasonal area, to wit, New England spring and all its beauties. Blanche and Milt Mclnnes have returned to enjoy it. They were resident in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, for most of January and February, visiting on the way with son Don, who is with Santa Fe Industries in Emporia, and daughter Carolyn who is living in Pacifica, Calif., where she is engaged in school counseling. Kay and Lee Chilcote have completed a Ft. Lauderdale-to-San Francisco cruise, visiting with Margo and Bob Bottome in Caracas.
We have learned with sorrow of the deaths of Howard Weinstein on September 1, J. DonaldSmith on December 29, and Nelson M. Fitch on January 10. Our sympathy is extended to their families.
John Tiedtke was honored recently by the local chamber of commerce for "devoting his life and all his energy to making Winter Park a little better place to live." Jack Rich, board chairman of New England Gas and Electric Association, is also a director of BayBanks Boston. Dick Parker and I attended a R.I. Club luncheon, watched the miracle year movies, and after listening to Joe Yukica, decided that Dartmouth football is in good hands. Please start putting your affairs in order so that you will be in Hanover for the Princeton game and Woodstock affairs on September 21, and for our 50th, June 6-8, 1980.
