Congratulations to Harry Dunning, nominee of the Dartmouth Alumni Council to fill a vacancy on the board of trustees, and to Vic Borella, who was presented the Council's highest honor, a Dartmouth Alumni Award, for service to labor, management, government, and college. And to both of these gentlemen high honors for devotion to their families and to the Class of 1930.

All other announced dates notwithstanding the Hartford executive and class meeting is scheduled for the weekend of May 3 and 4 at Tobacco Valley Inn, Route 91, north of Hartford. Although there will be further publicity we recommend that you drop Charlie Rauch a note right now at Mountain Spring Road, Farmington, to make it clear to him and Meade Alcorn that you will be there.

Hank Newell, Manchester architect, has designed a new home for Herb and MargeChase to be built on Dogford Road, Etna. Herb is lining up a builder and hopes for 1968 occupancy. They will be in Sarasota from March 1 to mid-April and expect to reune with the Jack Fitzpatricks who are now established in a Boston apartment ad- jacent to the Pru.

Fred Chase has the distinction now of being the son of the oldest living graduate of the College, Stephen Chase '96, who will be 94 in June. Frederick Chase Jr. '53 was the fifth generation in a row to graduate.

Bill Milne has left Barrington and is now at 1210 Marsh Road, Wilmington, where he will teach school, as sort of a retirement from his long career in textiles. Fred Jasper-sen reports a scheduled February 24 dinner dance at Kenwood Golf and Country Club for the Washington region and we hope to report on that in April. Art Olsen of the Mayo Clinic is president of the American College of Chest Physicians and is responsible for planning an International Congress in Washington next fall.

Newell Rumpf died on February 2 in New York City where he and Mary were visiting. Our sympathy is extended to her and to their children. Newell was president of Harris Trust in Chicago, and the leader for 1930 activities in that area. We have also learned with sorrow of the death of Edna Peacock in Dearborn where Chuck is president of C.D. Peacock, Jewelers.
