Dr. Tom Brady and Betsy were off schedule ... but happy about it. You see, daughter Kathy was born on July 30, 1972, and second daughter Cindy on July 20, 1975. But number one son Rick arrived on January 2, 1979. He's named after Alpha Theta fraternity brother Rick Godfrey (Kathy's godfather).
Tom has been technical director of plastic beverage operations for Owens-Illinois in Toledo for the past year and has helped get the $85-million division into the black. Tom and other '66s have also seized the Dartmouth Club of Toledo: Tom's president, Jim Oathout is first vice president, and Saleb Jabarin's on the enrollment committee.
Lots of good news for Dave Anderson. First, there's David Jr., going on one. Second, there's his new position as vice president at the Dyson-Kissner Corporation on Park Avenue in Manhattan.
Here's an update on Dean Mathews. After seven years with Minneapolis retailer Gamble Skogmo in a variety of marketing and operating spots, followed by a stint as general manager of a playing card company, Dean is now executive vice president of Jerry Hayes & Associates, a food brokerage and equipment processing firm. More importantly, since graduation Dean has married Susan and fathered two children, Kelly and Dean IV (yes, four)!
Recently, Bob and Jan Baldwin and three little Baldwins (twins Eric and Jennifer, five, and Brian, two) moved from Rockport, Maine, to Bangor, where Bob is financial vice president of Brandow Johnson Management Associates, a hospital management firm.
This summer; when you barbecue your hot dogs with Patio Chef charcoal, think of classmate John Uhlman, a vice president of the Standard Milling Co., the Kansas City-based company which makes a variety of useful products, including Patio Chef charcoal and Maypo and Wheatena cereals. John and Tricia have two daughters, Kate, four, and Meg, one, and he's an activist and leader in just about every worthwhile organization in the K.C. area.
