Hello, it's me again. I am writing this column on Halloween night so my concentration on this article is periodically broken by the knock of little Drinds at the door looking for donations for the departed. Needless to say, like every other household, we are giving the gift-seeking goblins great gobs of glucose. So much for the tricks, now for the treat:

Ed Stern has withdrawn from the Philadelphia law firm of Blank, Rome, Comisky, and McCauley in order to become a litigation partner with the Denver and Vail, Colo., law firm of Weinshienk, Miller, Borus, and Permut. Ed has found quite an active Dartmouth contingent in Denver, including Greg Campbell and Al Cook. He also said he was sorry he missed all '64s at reunion, but he sends you all a Rocky Mountain "hi,"

Hal Weiler, M.D., writes that he is in Washington, D.C., for a year on a Comes Fellowship at Georgetown University and sent an article to me on Stan Roman. It seems Stan is now medical director at D.C. General Hospital. The controversial issue of abortion put him in the limelight of the Washington Post when he stated, "I think that the issue is that a woman has a right to make certain choices." (Is the name of Stan's hospital D.C. General or D. and C. General? Leave it to the Post to pursue this issue.)

Roger Hull (noted tennis buff) married Dr. Anne Dyson on July 4, 1980. Anne recently completed her clinical pediatric residency at the Cornell University Medical College New York Hospital, and was a graduate from Bennett College, New York University, and the New York Medical College. She will continue her training in pediatric infectious diseases at the Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse. Roger is now a vice president for development and planning and adjunct professor of law at Syracuse University. Roger received his law degree from Yale and master's and doctor's degrees in international law from the University of Virginia. He formerly served as special counsel to Governor A. Linwood Holton Jr. of Virginia and as a special assistant to the chairman and deputy staff director of the National Security Council Inter-Agency Task Force on Law of the Sea.

Robert Bucher of Houston, Tex., represented Dartmouth at the inauguration of Dr. Charles E. Bishop as sixth president of the University of Houston on May 1, 1980.

Dave Plavin made the front page of the New York Times on July 5, 1980, with his outlook on the financial projection and development of New York City's Metropolitan Transit Authority. Dave, who is financial vice president of the M.T.A., stated "our projections show real financial problems in the 1981-1982 fiscal year." As Dave now commutes from Far Rockaway to the midtown area via a most convoluted route, he only worries that the system keeps working not what it costs. The reason is that Dave has a pass and rides free.

That's it for this month. Bye.
