Eight people represented 1915 at the class officers weekend in May. Dale Barker, Duze Lounsberry and wife Helen, Chink Chamberlain and daughter June, Marvin Frederick and wife Marion, and Ruth Crance. The discussions at the meetings were interesting and helpful.
A sad note very recently from Gerry Shaw reported the death of his wife Mildred. Besides being a wife and mother, Mildred was an accomplished musician. For many years she was a member of the Boston Pops Orchestra. At one of our reunions she entertained us with her violin artistry. The sympathy of the entire class goes out to Gerry in his loss.
We are sorry to hear that some classmates will have had to pass up reunion because of physical disabilities and not because of lack of interest. A letter from Bob Frothingham some time ago explained that he is legally blind and can not recognize people. In addition he has dif- ficulty getting around without canes due to trouble with his legs. We will have missed him and others in similar situations.
I learned recently that the firm from which I am retired was making matching gifts to alum- ni funds for its employees and that retired employees were also eligible. I therefore filed my application with my firm and expect that the matching gift will be on its way to Hanover soon. I suggest, therefore, that classmates in- quire as to whether their company has a similar program and file their application for a matching gift. It may be the source of substan- tial additions to the Alumni Fund and an assist to the class record.
