Baseball is back!! What else is there to say when spring is in the air and slush is on the ground? Having spent a recent weekend in Baltimore, I would advise anyone in the area to head out to that new stadium. Lee and I stumbled onto it and worked our way in for a sneak peak amongst the construction workersis that trespassing?—and were very impressed with the look and feel of the place. Can't wait to go back and watch Roger shut out the O's in front of a full house. Well, that should be enough filler. Let's get down to the pertinent information for which I receive the big bucks.

Speaking of big bucks, that's what JonMerriman and Greg Curhan '83 are dealing in. Having formed their own capital management firm, CMCM, in Los Angeles in 1988, the pair has been making waves on the financial sea. Their initial investment has grown so much so fast that the two were featured in an August issue of Barron's, with virtually lifesize photos, no less. Not being a financial wizard myself, I couldn't really understand what the article said, but those palm trees sure looked great. And these guy were definitely smiling.

In other business news this is definitely not the Wall Street Journal John Donahoe has been appointed vice president in the San Francisco office of Bain & Cos. According to the news release I received, Hoe has been with Bain since 1982, so he must have earned his Stanford M.B.A. during his lunch hours. Hoe & Co. are living in Menlo Park, Calif.

Dateline, the Caribbean. It's rumored that the ever industrious Dave Gibbons is splitting his time between fast cars, fast women, and fast "spirits." In reality, Bones is working in the family liquor and auto business between Bermuda and the Cayman Islands and has been dating the same woman for a record length of time. Will miracles never cease?

And in birthday news, Martha Harvey Forster is trying to teach Kimberly Nicole the words to "Men of Dartmouth" before her first birthday in June. Husband and father William, Syracuse '79, has other ideas.
