Once more unto the breach. And with very little ammunition.
What with moving to New York but still commuting to Chicago on weekends, I have become somewhat discombobulated. I overlooked a good letter I got way back when from Wey Lundquist.
Wey is taking a sabbatical from his law practice in San Francisco he's with the firm of Heller, Ehrman, White and McAuliffe and is also a professional corporation himself to teach an undergraduate course on the history of environmental law at Dartmouth this coming fall term. So he and his wife, Kay Taylor, will be living at Choate House this fall and would welcome any and all '52s. This is the second sabbatical Wey has taken in the past five years, the first having been a trip across Siberia on the trans-Siberian railroad. How's that for a nice little holiday excursion!
Another item came to me from George Rosenberg in Ventura, Calif., about Frank Moody, chief of surgery at the University of Utah Medical Center. Frank has developed a form of surgery that's 'an almost fool-proof way for the morbidly obese to lose weight. It involves "stapling" the stomach to reduce its size. This process has been successful in reducing weight by 100 pounds in 12 months. I know t is won't concern any of us, but it's nice to near about a successful practitioner from our class.
Has the Indian been killed? Or will he rise spread his fearful sounds throughout Ivy Lan once more? If Dek Davidson and sow- associates of his can help it, the Indian is s alive and well and living in Hanover. It y would care to hear his views, and those: of °t-e alums with similar thoughts, Dek would be g to supply them. His address is 420 Nannyhage- Road, Thornwood, N.Y. 10594. .
In case you haven't read Connie Cars last newsletter, there's a great weekend pla down in Williamsburg, Va., when Dartm plays William and Mary in football. The dates are October 10-12, and if you can make it, do.
It's well that my news is sparse this month. I'm busy getting ready for a swing into Europe on business. And so, looking forward to lots of good things happening to all of you this summer (which you will certainly convey to me), I wish you all hasta luego!
