Art and Jessie Hassell left for a vacation in Mexico January 22. Just before Christmas they returned from a month in Florida at Ponte Vedia and Deerfield Beach. Art says: "It's been one super year, again, for us."
Horace and Betty Moulton are now residents of Seagate Towers, Apt. N-306, 200 MacFarlane Drive, Delray, Fla. 33444, from October to May. Horace retired from the practice of law at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft in New York City in 1978, so Betty and he headed for her old hometown, Wilmington, Delaware. Horace married Betty Munson, widow of our classmate Lew Munson, seven and a half years ago. They enjoy being in Florida during the cold weather and spend summers at their cottage in a suburb of Wilmington.
Although the news is not exactly current, we want to mention that Gene Katz's 92-year old Katz Agency, for years one of the leading broadcast advertising representative companies, has made an acquisition that makes it number one in both television and radio with billings approaching $500 million.
Gene started way back with the agency, became executive vice president in 1947 and president in 1953, and retired a few years ago. He is still a director of the agency and has devoted a lot of time to Planned Parenthood of New York, of which he is chairman of the board, or was the last time we heard from him. Gene and the late Bill Breyfogle were the only '28ers who topped off their Dartmouth years by attending Oxford. Gene was a former member of the Dartmouth Alumni Council.
We enjoy a regular correspondence with Joe Chay, active owner at the age of 80 of a starch factory in Taiwan, Republic of China. Joe writes, "We are living in the age of money inflation. Inflation before usually leads prosperity. Inflation nowadays leads depression with the higher commodity prices. We must make some proper adjustment to these changing environments."
Ben Heftier writes "I skied Vail in 1978 and 1979 and Boyne in 1980, but my skiing days are over ASHD, Parkinson, and a slight kidney disorder. But I have a full-time cook and housekeeper and an electric typewriter so I manage to get along and attend an occasional concert." Ben also mentions that Dartmouth is listed in his will.

Prexy "G. I." Davis just came through with news from Naples and Sarasota, which is greatly appreciated:
"Bill and Bobby Morton arrived in Naples late in January. They have become members of the best club in this area, so we ordinary folk are looking forward to golf and tennis invitations.
"Jack and Dee McAvoy also arrived late in January and are living on a boat in Naples Bay. Park and Kitty are in their apartment in Naples and doing well.
"John Benson '31, the new president of the Dartmouth Alumni Association, spends his winter months here with Gladys, so we are able to keep up to date on the procedures and developments in connection with the upcoming election of two Dartmouth trustees.
"John and Barbara Lawrence are at Sanibel Island. John is having breathing problems but seems to be improving. So far he has not been able to manage his crab-pots, much to the chagrin of his friends.
"Paul and Jane Cutler are also at Sanibel and have attended both local Dartmouth meetings. Age has made him no less caustic in his observations."
