The awesomely great class of 1957 will recognize its 25th year since being graduated from Dartmouth with a reunion June 14 through June 17, 1982. Do plan to be on hand for this get-together where we'll have some fun for every member of the family, including some intellectual challenge, some athletic endeavors, and an opportunity to renew old and valued friendships.
Should anyone not already involved be moved to participate in the planning or execution of reunion events, please contact the publicity chairman, Dick Perkins, at Land/Vest Inc., 14 Kilby St., Boston, Mass. 02109, (617) 723-1800. We are especially in need of volunteers from the Midwest and West Coast.

Adopted classmate Joe DelVecchio heads a new company named Balloon Bouquets, Inc. The company had its inception in Washington, D.C., where the sending of bouquets of balloons rather than flowers has become quite the rage. A long list of well-known national figures have been "ballooned" for birthdays and other events. Joe's company provides a service that involves delivery of the bouquets via a Balloonmobile equipped with cylinders of helium. Balloon Bouquets, Inc. has continued to inflate with operations in 15 cities and a full-fledged national franchising program.

Edward J. Matthews Jr. is the new chairman of the Morris County Chamber of Commerce, Morris, N.J. Ed has long been concerned with the growing role of government, often with rather unfavorable results, and feels that the business community, faced with the realization that a fundamental change is needed, has finally started coming out of its shell to become actively and creatively involved. "Today we talk more and more about what we (businessmen) think and feel. We're more of a voice in the political and social environment, and I think that's healthy." It is this attitude that Ed is taking into his new administration.
Ed, as you may recall, is vice president of corporate development for Nabisco, one of the world's giants in the food industry. In that capacity, he has worldwide responsibility for Nabisco's program of acquisitions and mergers. Ed joined Nabisco in 1973 after his career had taken him to executive positions in finance and management with Inmont Corporation, Strawberry Hill Press, Inc., and Deloit, Haskins and Sells, a prestigious accounting firm. Ed and Michelle reside in Mendham, N.J., with children Margo, Paul, Peter, and Ted.
Keep thinking 25th!
