A busy month! Getting right to it, EricHatch writes to convey his greetings, and those of wife Nancy. He lists Charlottesville, Va., as his home and says all goes well in grad school, though he doesn't know why he is there in view of the current job market. I am sure many of us feel this way, Eric, as jobs really are scarce everywhere. Charles B. Schweizer kindly sent along a newsclipping about the marriage of son Charles W. Schweizer to Maria Gayle (now Schweizer!), a graduate of Mount Holyoke. They were married last January in Hampton, Va., and other classmates who attended were Jim McCormick, MartinKeller, and Ed Schneider.

Joe Leeper writes while sending along his class dues that Class Newsletters and the Alumni Magazine keep Dartmouth fresh in the minds of ex-Big Greeners who are in the pleasant backwaters of Northern California. Joe is associated with the Department of Geography of Humboldt State College there in Areata. Thanks for the nice comments, Joe.

Word from Ken and Jill Dardick arrived from Newton. Mass. Dr. Ken has been accepted by the Public Health Service Corps. In July of 1975 he will be assigned for two years work in a "medically deprived area." Could our own North Country be under consideration? Knowing Ken, you'd better believe it! Until that time, however, Ken will be completing the Family Practice Residency at the Harvard Family Health Care Program at the Children's Hospital of Peter Bent Brigham Hospital. Jill is busily finishing up her last term at B.U. Law School and her upcoming bar exam. Last term Jill studied taxation and each night she came home with another deduction? Who needs H & R Block? The Dardicks plan to join us in June for the festivities.

Ah yes! The Festivities. Reunion Chairman John McNamara reports some exciting plans for the Fifth (June 16-18). He is beginning to get some return on the cards which went out with the last Class Newsletter. We have quite a list already, but there are a great many names we are counting on being added. If you are one, how about a little effort—i.e., off the proverbial duff . . . and get that attendance card sent in! We are going all out, as our Class always has and always will, to have maximum attendance. There will be a Tug-of-War between the weenie classes of 1966 and 1967 which John is counting on winning. You may remember that the only class ever to beat a freshman class was the '66 contingent and the sniveling '67s have called for a rematch. The winner will try their luck with us! This momentous event will take place at Storrs Pond during our joint class picnic.

More news comes from Jon Page, God bless him, who forwards all the choice comments on the back of dues cards. Dues cards, you may remember, are those little white and green vehicles sent to you periodically to remind you we need the other kind of white and green stuff to keep all the news flowing back to you. Please send your $10.00 to Jon if you have not already done so. And -make sure your current address is correctly marked on the card. Thanks. A few samples: A very nice letter from Jens Raanaas, Oslo, Norway, who recently moved to Lovenskioldsgt. 22 A, Oslo, 2, Norway. Jens sends us a Happy New Year and says "thanks for your service so that also we abroad can enjoy news from our old school." Wayne Wadhams tells us about The Film School, at the Orson Welles Complex in Cambridge, Mass., where he teaches a course in film making, and is a part owner. Austin DeBesche is one of Wayne's partners. The School is one year old, and has 325 students enrolled. Wayne's production company is titled FIASCO and his film "Garden" has been shown and honored at a number of film festivals in this country and abroad.

Ned Cummings indicates it's worth paying dues to find out what Peagreen Freshmen in hotpants look like? We should be seeing pictures of just that in next fall's Alumni Mag. Mimsy and Ned are in Northern California (Merced), where he is an intelligence officer at Castle AFB. Interestingly enough, Mimsy got her flying license before Ned did! Both are enjoying the good he of San Francisco, Yosemite, and Napa wine.

The back of Charlie Cochran's card went something like this (for contrast): "I'll be damned if I'll pay my good money to see a bunch of girls in mini-skirts wiggling around campus." Signed, Big Greener 06. Happily, S10.00 was enclosed. As soon as I saw the opening sentence I started to think Oh, oh! But a good laugh. Thanks, Charlie.

Jim Lawrie writes that he is in Houston doing an internship in Medicine at Baylor and working much too hard. John McNary got married in June of 1970 to Connie Claypool, of University of Illinois. John is now teaching in high school at Paris, Ill., and coaching football. He received his master's in Guidance and Counseling in the summer of 1971.

Sammy Choo reports a marital status change. He married Myung-Ok Cho on February 20, 1971. Sam writes, "She is petite, but charming. No bambinos yet." Sam is a chemist with Dow and was promoted to research chemist " after about a year. He received his MBA from Case- Western Reserve in 1971. Currently, Tai- Sam spends evenings at Marshall Law School in Cleveland and he notes that Dave King is a "daytimer" since he finished his tour of duty in Vietnam. Sam also manages to augment a very busy schedule by interviewing and recruiting for Dartmouth.

Since this is the windy month, how about letting a few cards and letters blow my way? Take Care. Eric.

Pvt Bruce S. Scolton '71 received theFort Dix Trainee of the Cycle Awardfrom Major General H. H. Cooksey before starting Military Police training inGeorgia.
