Karen wrote that she and John took a three week trip to Florida in March, going to the east coast to see Whitney's brother and friends and then for a few days to Sanibel Island, where she and Whit had many delightful winter vacations. They also visited other members of the family on the mainland. In April, they went to Minneapolis to close out her affairs there before returning to Texas to relax.
1910 showed its vintage when Harold Robinson, the oldest living member, celebrated his 95th birthday. His daughter wrote, "It was a fine celebration, four eager generations enjoying the excuse of getting together and honoring our old patriarch."
Mrs. Louise (Jim) MacPherson visits her son Jim in Windsor, Vt., and says, "I still love Hanover and always ride up there." The house he lives in was once pwned by Kenneth Beal. Nancy Norton is a frequent visitor to her in Framingham to talk over old times.
It is saddening to have to report that on January 10, 1981, Ernest Unangst died. An obituary prepared by his son Robert appears in the back of the MAGAZINE.
Some of us have attended the inauguration of four Dartmouth presidents. The fourteenth president will be inaugurated June 28. Will any of us be there?
