The class of 1910 has lost another loyal member. Harold P. Jackson died on February 1. His daughter Katherine, who was with him these last years, plans to stay on in Montclair, N.J., for a few months. Pineo was a good correspondent. His lively letters will be missed.
A letter dated February 5 from H. Allan Dingwall, Jr., associate director of the Dartmouth Alumni Fund, reads:
"It occurred to us that you might like to know that Arthur H. Lord in the class of 1910 with a contribution made to the Alumni Fund of 1980 has made 63 gifts over the years.
"In "recognition of this extraordinary consistent support of the College, our Alumni Fund Chairman, Bob Brace, sent a pewter replica of the Paul Revere bowl to him to recognize his generosity."
Betsy Bankart Sylvester wrote in January, "My mother, Miriam Bankart, widow of Larry (class of 1910); is increasingly frail though 'only' 85. She is not in pain, is at home, and has a wonderful team of sensible and compassionate helpers."
