Another executive committee meeting and successful mini-reunion are now past history; Thanksgiving is coming up; and at this time I should be wishing each of you a Merry Christmas, at cetera.
A lively contingent of '45s marched in the Dartmouth Night parade and made their presence known beyond a doubt with our large class banner. Libation and a fair share of lie swapping were enjoyed by all Friday night at the Blunt Alumni Center and at Betsy and George Barr's, and Saturday night at the Tom Dent Cabin.
At the meeting it was reported that monies from the 1945 Memorial Fund were used to purchase supplies for a talented art student. She has presented us with a sample of her work, which is being held as the piece deresistance of the auction at our upcoming 20- 20 reunion in 1985. Be sure to come prepared with an ample supply of $20 bills.
Word has sifted down to me that Robert D.Oldfield represented Dartmouth back in September at the inauguration of S. Frederick Starr as the 12th president of Oberlin College.
And that, Barney, makes you the undisputed star of this month's column!
